a biography written in first person
I was born in Tallahassee, Florida as the forth of ten (homeschooled) children. As a kid, I wanted to be an actor and filmmaker, but for a homeschooled seven year old, there wasn’t much opportunity. In my teens, I found music and started a band. I got kicked out of that band for being too rambunctious on stage, then started another band. The new band made some music, toured around the country, made a few waves, then eventually broke up. After that, I fell into producing music for other bands because my favorite part of being in a band was being in the studio. While I was producing music, I picked up graphic design and a couple of other useful skills because I was too poor to pay someone else to do it for me. My newly acquired and developing skills in the world of creative media led me to directing music videos for my DP brother Seth Dunlap. In 2014, I began to fulfill my childhood dreams when Seth and I started making short films and getting hired for corporate video jobs. After a few years, we moved from Orlando, Florida to Nashville, Tennessee and started a production company called Foundry Mass with my wife Mindy Dunlap.
Now, I do a little bit of everything and a lot of nothing.
